Mission Statement
Veterans 1 For All is an evolution of the National Coalition of Black Veteran Organizations. The organization is a think tank that researches history, evaluates, and makes recommendations of policies that impact the services of Black people and other minorities in the defense of our nation. The organization promotes further integration of existing Black Veteran Organizations into a voice that speaks on behalf of the collective body. Black military service personnel historically served in a segregated armed forces beginning in the American Revolutionary War to the Korean Conflict ending in the 1950’s. Following the desegregation of the armed forces, Black Veterans formed service organizations/associations to promote camaraderie and the preservation of their Units’ achievements. The formation of those organizations produced positive results through community services and educational scholarships to young people across communities nationwide. However, the same branch approach has served to segregate Black Veteran Organizations from one another. The outcome impedes the organizations coming together in pursuit of addressing the common good in the political, economic, and social arenas. The goal of Veterans 1 For All is to engage the services of political and economic scholars and social scientist experts to explore and author papers for publication and distribution to governmental, civic, educational sources, and the public. Our goal is to promote a greater universal understanding of the collective role Black Americans serve in broadening the principles of democracy in the United States of America.
